Promoting Young Farmers

Of the many things that we are passionate about and support - education ranks at the very top along with agriculture. This all works in tandem to fulfill our mission of feeding hungry people healthy nutritious foods and helping them to feed themselves by teaching various farming practices through internships on our farm as well as participating in the Feed the Hungry ministries sponsored though our church community at the Cathedral of Joy.
With the increase in declining family farms we strongly promote agriculture and all of its benefits and rewards to young people considering agriculture as an occupation.

With over 285,000,000 people living in the United States less than 1% of the population is farmers. When thinking about this vast number of people living in the United States alone, not including the rest of the world, and the small number of farmers that produce food for the world - it is quite staggering to say the least. The efficiency and dedication that it takes to execute this enormous task is no less than astounding.
Because of this passion and our personal mission Middleton Organic Orchards and Middleton Organic Specialty Foods provide's an annual scholarship at our state university to promote young farmers to enter production agriculture.
